Lee Barbara

Those who know Lee well, know of his passion in two distinct areas:  playing music and building, repairing, and beautifying living spaces. Lee began Portland Home Services after spending decades learning carpentry and general home repair as a hobbyist while simultaneously working full time as a music teacher and professional guitarist. Through completing two full basement remodels on his own homes in Portland, Oregon, he discovered a genuine passion for transforming areas in homes with untapped potential into beautiful, functional spaces to be enjoyed for generations, thus leading him to pursue remodeling and repair work professionally in the form of PHS.

As a homeowner, Lee consistently noticed a shortage of reliable, trustworthy and communicative tradespeople, so when starting his own business he quickly determined what would set PHS apart from much of the competition: clear communication, dependability and trustworthiness. Through his over 10 years as a classroom teacher, Lee learned not only how deeply rewarding he finds being of service to his community, but also the merits of proper planning, scheduling and communication; all values that he brings to every job at PHS.

In addition to operating PHS, Lee still performs and maintains a small roster of guitar students from his home studio. In his free time, Lee loves exploring with his wife and two young sons.
